Creating a brand and website for LMI as they disrupt the art authentication industry
Art authentication has long been the backbone of security in bringing high-value, orphaned artwork to the market. But current methods in art authentication are dated and subjective, making this industry ready for disruption.
LMI uses computational science alongside deep expertise to authenticate orphaned artwork and preserve cultural legacies across the globe.
Together we set out to build a brand and web presence that reflected LMI's mission to bring to market lost or forgotten artwork from the world's great artists, preserve cultural legacies, and establish truth through data and computational science.
"Our logo metaphorically conveys the gaps between complete and incomplete information and our dedication to problem-solving. Each letter in the design mark is derived from the sunburst. When animated, the logo lockup symbolizes our process of building data to reach irrefutable conclusions."
Lawrence M. Shindell, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, LMI
Branding Science
LMI applies unparalleled scientific rigor to the art authentication process. We extended the brand to act as a tool to convey, and, in some cases, simplify advanced concepts in scientific analysis to a wider audience, including art buyers, investors, scholars, art historians and various members of the scientific and academic community.
